Throughout his 40-year career, Chuck has held a variety of consulting (Program Leader, Project Facilitator, Senior Technical Consultant) and technical executive positions (Manager of Quality Assurance, Director of TQM). He brings substantial experience, both regionally (N. America & Latin America) and internationally (Europe, Asia & Australia), to performance assessment and improvement, as well as product and process design/re-design. Many of the implemented operational initiatives have yielded millions of dollars in savings for clients, often reducing cycle times by more than 50 percent, improving the quality of the product and service, all while fundamentally improving operations on an enterprise-wide basis.

Chuck has worked with clients in diverse industries such as semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, financial services, utilities, hospitality, consumer goods, government, optics, heavy equipment, packaging, specialty chemicals, computer software and hardware.  

He has delivered Quality Function Deployment (QFD) workshops in product design for the University of California—Berkeley, and served as adjunct faculty at Arizona State University and San Jose State University. He has delivered design presentations at several international conferences in the USA, Europe, Latin America and Asia, most recently a presentation on Quality Management Systems at the World Conference on Quality & Improvement. He is a certified Master Black Belt and for the past 16 years, he has co-instructed the Master Black Belt professional certification course for the University of Texas (Arlington).  He holds an M.B.A. (with specialization in Quality) from Colorado State Univ., a B.S.I.M. (majors: Industrial Mgmt., Mech. Engr. & Econ.) from Purdue Univ., and A.S. Computer Science from Lansing (MI) Comm. College.

As an expert in his field, Chuck has been a contributing author on several books and articles including: Innovating Lean Six Sigma (2016); The Lean Six Sigma Pocket Toolbox (2004); Manufacturing Handbook of Best Practices: An Innovation, Productivity and Quality Focus (2002); The Handbook of Supply Chain Management (2001) and The Quality Function Deployment Handbook (1998).  In 2023, he won American Society for Quality’s Six Sigma Forum Award for the Advancement of Six Sigma.

Chuck is an inveterate traveler, primarily throughout Europe and Asia. He has lived in Italy, Egypt, India and Australia.
