Business Plan

No two business plans are the same. That means downloading an online template or using a software package is not going to help you develop the strategic business plan you need. This is especially true if the purpose of your plan is to get funded

Sophisticated investors can spot a template/software generated plan in about 3-5 seconds and these plans often immediately get deposited in the trash bin or get deleted. One of the services of TSE is to conduct strategic due diligence on business plans for bankers, angel investors, VCs and others. We can spot a “canned plan” immediately. Our experience has been that these plans are generic and will likely be lacking in major components to determine the potential success of the endeavor. In fact, over 90% of the time, these plans fail to pass strategic due diligence.

Many entrepreneurs don’t realize it, but a business plan serves many purposes. Firstly, it is the marketing brochure for your business idea. No two brochures are the same. The plan needs to “sell” you and your idea to the investor or strategic partner. This means it has to answer many of the questions the investor or partner might have. The more questions left unanswered, the more likely the investor or partner will pass and move to the next opportunity.

Also, if seeking investment money, the business plan also becomes a legal document and should be written with this in mind. If an investor provides funds based on that business plan, it becomes a legal document in the process and can be used in a court of law to support you (if written properly) or to your detriment (if not written properly).

Our team has worked on over 1,000 plans over the years. We have written all of parts of plans, provided industry knowledge and data for plans, conducted competitive intelligence, completed strategic due diligence, helped clients write plans for global expansion, etc., over the years.

Your TSE plan will be unique to you and centered around your ideas. It will be custom written with your help, contributions and guidance.

We highly suggest those needing a business plan schedule a Concept-to-Cash session to help develop many of the ideas for the business plan. This will also help greatly reduce the amount of time required to create your plan.

Base price: $12,495. Additional fees may be required for photography, digital services (such as websites), patent consulting, 3D drawings, financial projections (consulting), etc. If completed in advance, the fee for the Concept-to-Cash session ($4,145) will be deducted from the Base fee for the business plan.

Note: the base business plan does not include the financial projections for the business plan. Should you require assistance with the development of pro forma statements, cash flow statements, use of funds projections, P&L statements, etc., we can quote a price for these services. If you need to file a patent for your idea in order to include protected IP in your plan, we can refer you to legal services who can assist you with that task and who will coordinate with us to make sure the patent information is included in your plan for investors. We can also provide 3D drawings and prototypes of your products for an additional fee. Please let us know of any additional services required when you sign up for service.
